Mujeres is a typical tropical village in the mexican caribbean,
it is famous not only for it´s beauty but also for it´s
friendly inhabitants.
 The
beaches are pink-white coral sand, the transparence of it´s
waters and the many shades of blue waters makes it an ideal
beach resort, the sunsets are famous as some of the caribbean
finest.
In one
of the bays on the north end of the island the propietor Sr.
José Lima and his family, have developed a concept
of tranquility that will make you feel at home, we have built
the Casa Maya Lodge and the Zazil-há Bungalows (10
tipical mayan bungalows and 6 hotel rooms ), we own 300 feet
of very quiet beach front, a shallow lagoon and a reef you
can snorkel in.
Inside
a beautifull coconut garden are our Zazil-há bungalows
, all slighty different with a mixture of mexican art and
folklore; the multicolor shells, the comfortable wood furnitures,
all like a real mayan bungalow in front of the sea. Shadows
with hammocks and sun chairs invite you to take a restfull
siesta or at night gaze at a sky full of stars and go to sleep
hearing the sound of the sea. Meet travelers from around the
world in our living room, we always have books and magazines
for you.
We have
two practical mexican kitchens with utensils and refrigerator
so you can do light cooking. You can buy wonderfull tropical
fruits, fresh bread and tortillas in the near by “mercadito”
market. On purpose we dont have a bar and a restaurant, however
excelent food and different bars are close by in downtown.
Our Rooms
 We
have different kinds of rooms all with their own bathroom,
hot water, ceiling fan and air conditioner, choose the one
you like the best and also fits your budget better.
Our staff will be on hand to serve you.

Children are Welcome ¡
they ´ll love our gardens and safe beach. And shallow
snorkelling.
You
must snorkel or dive in our shallow transparent coral reefs
that have been declared underwater national park! We will
lend you snorkel gear for free. ¡You can feed the fish with
pieces of bread or tortillas!
