Komchén Bird Sanctuary wishes to welcome all those visitors with a generous spirit and who have a sincere interest in nature and other cultures. Modest accommodation is provided for the ecoturists who want to experience an unusual holiday and wish to relax in a unique place, far from the maddening crowd. We hope that our visitors will integrate with the environment and the local people to their mutual benefit.Komchén also invites scientists to carry out studies especially on the flora and fauna, alternative energy resources, sustainable development and the Maya culture. Also those people who would like to join the Komchén project working and contributing to achieve the declared objectives.

Las construcciones de Komchén son de piedra con techo de paja (palapas) al estilo maya tradicional. Los visitantes se alojan en las casitas antiguamente habitadas por los trabajadores de la hacienda.

The buildings in Komchén are true Masonery and thatchroof in maya traditional style. The visitors stay in the houses once inhabited by the Hacienda workers. Sleeping in hammocks.

We have bikes and horses to to ride around the Reserve or go to the village.

Se duerme en cómodas hamacas, al estilo maya. Todo en Komchén obedece a un criterio rústico y sencillo, para turistas no convencionales.
Hay bicicletas para pasear por la reserva e ir al pueblo o a la playa.
En Komchén hay caballos, siempre sueltos pero que se pueden montar para paseos.
