Directions:

To reach Yaxuna, the easiest route is to take the old highway from Piste/Chichén Itzá to Libre Union, turn south to Yaxcaba, thence to Kancabzenot, around the back of the plaza/church there and find the good "camino blanco" road north to Yaxuna.
From Meridá, exit onto the old road at Kantunil where the toll road begins (therefore bypassing the "Supercarretera" fast toll road). Proceed then to Libre Union and follow the directions in first paragraph above.
The direct "camino blanco" from Piste to Yaxuna is a rough road suitable for the adventurous with a robust vehicle. It takes about the same amount of time as the longer route through Libre Union and Yaxcaba.
